ARC Excess & Surplus offices around the country participated in a Toys for Tots drive that also included Scentsy Buddies – stuffed animals (some are Disney, Star Wars, Marvel) that kids love because they are a great comfort, they smell good, and are a great size for a child to cuddle with.

Team members of the New York office of ARC Excess & Surplus conducted a toy drive to support the John Theissen Children’s Foundation, a Long Island-based organization that provide hospitals and child-care facilities with therapeutic and recreational equipment, supports families with financial assistance to defray medical expenses, offers sick and needy children toys throughout the holiday season, and fulfills patient’s (ages birth to 18 years old) wishlists throughout the year.

For the past twenty (20) years, The ARC employees have come together to run a holiday toy drive for the NYU Winthrop Child Life Program. The toys are delivered by “Santa” and a pizza party is also provided for all of the children and their families as well as the entire Pediatric Nursing and medical staff. The folks at NYU Child Life repeatedly say that the ARC sponsored Holiday Event is the “most looked-forward to” holiday event on the floor.

The NY office of ARC Excess & Surplus collected and donated food items to Island Harvest to help those less fortunate during the holiday season. Island Harvest works with businesses and members of the public to donate food and pioneer innovative distribution methods to those in need.

PLUS Foundation Heroes & Helpers

PLUS Foundation

Team members of both ARC Excess & Surplus and Professional Risk Facilities (PRF) are humbled to have recently been recognized by the PLUS Foundation as Heroes & Helpers. Orchestrated by Stephen Cavallaro, Karen Unalp, Peter Wendling and Mark Cavallaro, and with the help of generous donations from our employees, we were able to deliver a truckload of food and essentials to the Church of St. Aidan food pantry. Our 2023 Scentsy Buddy Drive Donation Was a Success!

December 27, 2023

Again, another successful year for the Scentsy Buddy Donation! Robin Valerio from our Mid-Atlantic office spearheads an annual drive to collect Scentsy Buddies for children in the hospital.  This year we reached our goal and were able to collect 300 buddies for the children at St. Christopher’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Year after year, you make this process so much better with your thoughtfulness and kindness!  We couldn’t be successful without your amazing donations, and I know the kids will LOVE their new friends during their stay in the hospital. Arc Partnered With One Warm Coat and IICF to Collect Over 100 Coats!

At ARC, we believe in the power of community and the profound impact of small acts of kindness. As a way to give back to our local communities, we partnered with One Warm Coat and the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) in collecting coats for people in need. Our collective efforts and the generosity of our local community shone brightly through this initiative. Our office united to collect not just coats, but over a hundred of them! We are very thankful and appreciative of everyone who donated and look forward to the next opportunity to help others!

Supporting the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

To say this year’s donation to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) was a significant success is an understatement. My team and I were able to collect 256 buddies! I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to work with such giving and kind people! You never cease to amaze me! This was the biggest donation we have ever had, and CHOP was beyond overwhelmed by the number of kids that will have smiles on their faces because of this. Our Second Annual Charity Softball Tournament

Last week, ARC hosted its Second Annual Charity Softball Tournament. All event proceeds went to the 34.3 Foundation, honoring the 343 members of the FDNY who made the ultimate sacrifice in an attempt to save others on 9/11. Thank You! Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness with Pink Aid

October 5, 2022

October is a month for promoting breast cancer awareness, giving our support in various ways, and encouraging individuals to take the time to make those important screening appointments. This year, in addition to donating $1,500 to Pink Aid, ARC has also donated an auction item for Pinkchella. Pink Aid provides compassionate support, critical resources, and emergency financial assistance to underserved breast cancer patients and their families.

Ukrainian Relief Donations

March 17, 2022

The Town of Oyster Bay is holding a Humanitarian Relief Drive to help those suffering and displaced in Ukraine. The drive is being held from Monday, March 7th through Friday, March 25th. Collection bins are located at Town Hall South, Town Hall North, and at the Town of Oyster Bay Ice Skating Center located at Bethpage Community Park. ARC employees have already made two trips of donations (one last week and one this week) in support of Ukrainian relief efforts. Among the desperately needed items that were donated were diapers and wet wipes, masks, bandages, and personal hygiene products.

A Generous Donation to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

This generous donation put smiles on the faces of children throughout the pediatric hospital. Pink Ribbon Women’s Fluke Fishing Tournament

August 2, 2019

For the Past Five years, ARC’s Rob Crocitto, a/k/a “Captain Rob”, has run in conjunction with The Staten Island Fishing Club, an annual Women’s Fluke Fishing Tournament. This Tournament was organized to raise money for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walk. This tournament requires participating anglers (women only) to make a donation to The American Cancer Society. Over the past Five (5) years This tournament has raised over $100,000 for the American Cancer Society and each year, since inception, the ARC Team has won the award for the highest fundraiser.
