Some of the Annual Events ARC & Its Employees Support
Toys for Tots Scentsy Buddy Donations
ARC Excess & Surplus offices around the country participated in a Toys for Tots drive that also included Scentsy Buddies – stuffed animals (some are Disney, Star Wars, Marvel) that kids love because they are a great comfort, they smell good, and are a great size for a child to cuddle with.
John Theissen Children's Foundation
Team members of the New York office of ARC Excess & Surplus conducted a toy drive to support the John Theissen Children’s Foundation, a Long Island-based organization that provide hospitals and child-care facilities with therapeutic and recreational equipment, supports families with financial assistance to defray medical expenses, offers sick and needy children toys throughout the holiday season, and fulfills patient’s (ages birth to 18 years old) wishlists throughout the year.
NYU Winthrop Child Life Program Holiday Toy Drive
For the past twenty (20) years, The ARC employees have come together to run a holiday toy drive for the NYU Winthrop Child Life Program. The toys are delivered by “Santa” and a pizza party is also provided for all of the children and their families as well as the entire Pediatric Nursing and medical staff. The folks at NYU Child Life repeatedly say that the ARC sponsored Holiday Event is the “most looked-forward to” holiday event on the floor.
Island Harvest
The NY office of ARC Excess & Surplus collected and donated food items to Island Harvest to help those less fortunate during the holiday season. Island Harvest works with businesses and members of the public to donate food and pioneer innovative distribution methods to those in need.
PLUS Foundation Heroes & Helpers
Team members of both ARC Excess & Surplus and Professional Risk Facilities (PRF) are humbled to have recently been recognized by the PLUS Foundation as Heroes & Helpers. Orchestrated by Stephen Cavallaro, Karen Unalp, Peter Wendling and Mark Cavallaro, and with the help of generous donations from our employees, we were able to deliver a truckload of food and essentials to the Church of St. Aidan food pantry. Our team was also able to raise $2,000 in cash for Island Harvest Food Bank. Learn more…
